Summer camps are renowned for providing grade school children with entertainment (and maybe giving their parents a break, too). But what if you were told there’s a camp that combines fun and mathematics in the most exhilarating way? Welcome to the Math Madness Summer Camp at South Jersey Innovation Center (SJIC)!
All week, camp instructors Tatiana Ter-Saakov and Polina Oreshko worked hard to ensure the campers were kept busy with lots of math and science activities. To keep everyone engaged, there were many games and hands-on experiments–with some of the campers’ favorites being working with microscopes and the game Math 24.
Through this fusion of fun and learning, the campers were able to discover the exciting side of math and science that extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. There was never a dull moment at SJIC.
To culminate a week filled with excitement, learning, and growth, SJIC held an awards ceremony. The awards congratulated everyone on completing a week of camp, and also highlighted how each camper had contributed to the overall success and positive spirit of the week, making it a truly memorable experience to everyone involved.
