Soaring to New Heights: Exploring Flight Engineering with Things that Fly

Attention, young aviation enthusiasts and future engineers! The South Jersey Innovation Center (SJIC) is thrilled to introduce “Things that Fly,” an exceptional class for grades first through third that offers hands-on experience in the world of flight engineering. The possibilities are endless in this class–you can build small rockets, design paper planes, pilot hot air balloons, fly drones, and so much more! The program is designed to fuel children’s passion in grades first through third for aviation and provide invaluable insights into the intricacies of flight.

“Things that Fly” goes beyond mere experimentation; it offers the students the chance to challenge themselves in the fields of design and piloting. Through a carefully curated series of engaging and interactive classes, they will begin to learn the complex thought process behind engineers, and put it to practice. There will be plenty of opportunities to design and pilot their very own creations–the sky’s the limit! This holistic approach ensures an appreciation and understanding of flight engineering.

For those with a passion for aviation, “Things that Fly” is the perfect opportunity to take that passion to new heights–literally! The knowledge and skills gained through this program can lay the foundation for a future in the world of aerospace engineering, or simply serve as an opportunity to indulge in your love for all things that soar through the skies.
