What is SJIC’s Wall of Fame

nj chess tournament

Baseball has its Hall of Fame, and  Hollywood has its Walk of Fame. Well, the South Jersey Innovation Center (SJIC) has its Wall of Fame!

In fact, SJIC’s Wall of Fame is one of the first things you see upon entering. The Wall is decorated with portraits of SJIC students of all ages and interests and is used to commemorate some of our amazing students’ accomplishments. These students could be extremely above average in their chess skill, or have incredible results in a math competition; the reason for being put onto the Wall of Fame really varies student to student.

Meet the Wall of Fame Students (left to right, top to bottom):

  • Jake Desmond: perfect score in the 2021 Math Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools
  • Sophia Tolkacheva: mathlete and creative design virtuoso
  • Tristen Street: creative design virtuoso
