The popular LEGO plastic building-block toys and sandbox game Minecraft are known to inspire creativity and innovation in their users. Therefore, the South Jersey Innovation Center (SJIC) was thrilled to offer its Minecraft Adventures and LEGO Builders Summer Camp!
Camp Instructors Mia, for the Minecraft portion of the camp, and Ting, for the LEGO building part, designed engaging activities that would keep the campers working hard and entertaining all week long. From creating LEGO foosball tables to constructing masterpieces in the digital world of Minecraft, there was never a dull or unexciting moment.
Amidst all the fun, important life skills being developed. Teamwork was critically important for all of the projects the campers created. They had to practice effectively collaborating and communicating with others in order to achieve one common goal: an awesome project!
The Minecraft Adventures and LEGO Builders camp at the SJIC was more than just a week of fun–it was an opportunity for campers to learn in a stimulating and supportive environment as well as find peers with similar interests.
